All processes follow the requirements of ISO 13485:2016 and our sterile products are packed by our manufacturing partner in a state of the art facility, class 100,000 cleanroom environment. Each Gown is latex free and exceeds the standards of EN13795.

Toffeln Gown Material Guide
EN13795-1: 2019 - This is the harmonised performance standard for single-use and reusable surgical gowns, intended to minimise the transmission of infective agents between patients and clinical staff during medical procedures. The standard specifies mutually agreed test methods including resistance of the fabric to both wet and dry microbial penetration, wet and dry bursting and tensile strength, liquid penetration, linting and microbial cleanliness. All Toffeln Surgical Gowns meet or exceed EN13795.
Oeko-tex - Our gowns are made from textiles that have been tested for harmful substances, from yarns to the finished product.
BarrierTex - SMMS with PE coating this is the Ultimate protection. The coating is impervious but allows a degree of breathability where the highest levels of fluid protection are required.
EcoTex - Manufactured from a mix of 100% Recycled SS spunbonded and SMS spunbonded melt-blown fabric. It is soft and comfortable to wear and is embossed with a texture to provide no-see through modesty properties. It is a favourite for patient gowns, scrubs and warming jackets.
SoftTex - Non-woven Spunlace fabric using pulp and polyester fibres. Spunlace is popular for its softness and cotton-like feel. It has fluid repellent qualities.
LiquidTex - This is a four-layer SMMS fabric made of an inner and outer layer of spunbonded non-woven fabric, sandwiched between this are two layers of melt-blown non-woven. This fabric provides an excellent bacterial and fluid repellent barrier, whilst being cool and breathable to wear.
